Website Accessibility Statement

Using this website

This website is managed by Grafham Parish Council.  We want as many people as possible to be able to use it and, to this end, we are committed to making this website accessible and compliant, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No.2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

We strive to ensure that our services are accessible to everyone and to ensure that our website is easy to use and accessible for people with disabilities. We have a strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

Technical information about this website

We have built our website using an “accessible” Word Press theme (Twenty Sixteen version: 2.1).

We also make the website text as simple as possible to understand. However, AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

Accessibility on this website

We have made available a Free Website Accessibility Widget that is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. This software allows us to improve compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA standard).

The Widget’s Accessibility menu can be enabled by clicking on the accessibility menu icon.

This appears in the centre at the top of each page. After triggering the accessibility menu, please wait a moment for the accessibility menu to load in its entirety.

If you need information on this website in a different format please let us know.  We’ll consider your request and get back to you as soon as we can.

Disclaimer

We continue our efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of this website and our services in the belief that we should provide accessible and unhindered use for all including those with disabilities.

Despite our efforts to make all pages and content on this website fully accessible, some content may not be fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of us not having found or identified the most appropriate technical solution.
